vampires suck sucks

The movie Vampires Suck isn't really all that funny. Some parts are.... comical... but the rest is just overboard with cartoon violence and cussing. In other words, I DO NOT reccommend Vampires Suck. Yeah, I know Twilight is awful, but even that is more hilarious than the parody.
Even the references to tacky reality tv shows aren't that funny.
I am officially disappointed.
Also the ending is random. And awkward.

In other supernatural news, I LOVE BEING HUMAN. I really hope Mitchell didn't die in the explosion. He is just too hott. And Annie! I hope she stays with the gang!!! Where is this plot going to!!! And now I have to wait TWO WEEKS before I can see the next episode!!! I am so sad. but also excited. ;)
Bytheway, I am totally Team Mitchell. And Team George. And Team Annie. ;)

got a song stuck in your head

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head and you don't know where it's from?
Have you ever fallen in love with a commercial's song, but you don't know what it's called?
I know I have. That's how I found the website splendAd.
I absolutely love love love this website, because it has almost every commerical on there along with the song behind the ad.
Pretty much 1/4 of my iTunes library is all songs from various commericals. splendAd is how I found Miss Li, Arcade Fire, Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Ne-Yo, etc.
You just have to check it out: http://www.splendad.com/
Enjoy! ;)

fall trends 2010

Fall is coming (unfortunately) which means a new fashion season. I would like anyone who is reading this (which is probably no one) to please stay away from being "trendy." Instead, try to be unique and different with a trendy spin. Here are the trends and helpful info:
Leather Jackets: This fall staple can be very costly depending on the brand or label.
The top picture is of a Diane von Furstenberg 'Alphie" Leather Jacket which costs $695 at Nordstrom. The bottom one is a Miss Sixty Faux Washed Leather Motorcycle Jacket which costs $78 at the same store.
See what I mean?
Leopard Print: Use it as accents, rather than an entire outfit of leopard-ness.

The top shoes are American Eagle Leopard Ballet Flats that cost about $25. In the middle is a Foiled Leopard Print Burnout Tee from Forever 21, about $14. Last is a Wet Seal outfit. This is wayyyyy too much leopard. Remember, less is more.
Last trend is lace lace lace: Make it sophisticated and tasteful.

At the top is a Pins and Needles Lace Dress from Urban Outfitters. Unfortunately, they do not sell it anymore on the website. The bottom piece, however, is a lace and leopard print top from Wet Seal.
Tacky? Yes.
Have fun this fall season with tasteful and affordable trends! ;)

british love

Some of the most emotional, lovely, awesome, and wonderful TV shows are from Britian. If you're from America, like me, then you have to watch these programs on BBC America. If you do not get BBC on your tele, then you're missing out on some of the best tv shows out there.
Here's a list: Being Human, Doctor Who, Primeval, Top Gear, The Choir, Survivors, Come Dine With Me, Torchwood, etc.
Unfortunately, Torchwood, Primeval, and Survivors are over, but you should definately buy the DVDs online.
Here's the link to BBC America's website: http://www.bbcamerica.com/

From monsters to aliens to dinosaurs to sports cars, BBC America will sure to have a show (or several shows) that accommodate your television taste buds.

falling in love with scott pilgrim

If you like movies that kick butt, you'll absolutely love Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. From the video game references to the ultra-cool fight scenes, this film is pure awesomeness. I added it to my list of favourite movies and can't stop recalling the hilarious quotes and moments throughout the movie.
Plus, pink, green, and blue hair-dye never looked so chic. ;)

band geeks

Have you heard of Silly Bandz? Well prepare yourself for the latest fad.
I'll admit it, even I have gone crazy with these awesomely simple rubber bands.
From as cheap as a dollar to as expensive as five, Silly Bandz have taken over the world.
Many kids have literally COVERED their arms with them. Don't believe me? Check out the website: http://www.sillybandz.com/photoweek.php
You can get Silly Bandz shaped like superheroes, animals, sunglasses, and other random things!
Sounds silly right? I mean, they're rubber bands shaped kinda, but not really, like objects!
There's a reason why they're called "Silly" Bandz.

modern gypsy

Most people do not know Miss Li, but through commercials and other forms of the media, they have probably heard her songs.
One of her most popular songs is "Bourgeois Shangri-La," which was featured on an iPhone commercial.
"Oh Boy" was in some Volvo commercial last year, and "True Love Stalker" was in an ad for Desperate Housewives. So, who is Miss Li?
Miss Li, or Linda Carlsson, is a Swedish singer who's style of music has changed from album to album. Her lesser known album "Songs of a Rag Doll" features tunes that may appeal to a modern gypsy, whereas her most recent album "Dancing the Whole Way Home" is more for a modern teenage girl. My favourite songs of hers are "Stupid Girl," "Polythene Queen," and "Ba Ba Ba."
All of her songs are on iTunes and more information about her is on her website: http://www.missli.se/Default.aspx
Miss Li's music is really, really fun so please enjoy! ;)

awkward fabulous

I love looking at my family photo albums. It's really wonderful to see how much one has grown through photographs. Along with being in awe of the changes through our lives, I find myslef shocked by some of the... well... erm... fashion choices from each decade (especially the infamous 80s.)
If you think your picture albums are a bit embarrassing, then you just have to check out Awkward Family Photos.
I am in love with this website. It's absoluetly FAB-U-LOUS!
Take for instance this "enchanting" couple. First of all the girl is wearing a... umm... fairy outfit? The boy, however, decided to go a bit casual with a white, semi-dressy shirt and jeans. Isn't this supposed to be prom?
And don't even get me started on that charming bowl-cut.

Talk about swanky. These boys are simply adorkable.
I must say, I absoluetly love, love, love the plaid suit. Very boss.
Wearing sunglasses inside? That just screams cool.
Taking family portraits in libraries is all the rage.
Lastly, pop the collar.

I just love corny dance photos, especially if you can tell the mom is the mastermind behind the picture.
I have to say I am really taken by these outfits. I don't know if I've ever seen a silver suit look so bedazzled.
Jazz Hands Everybody! Pose! Smile! JAZZ HANDS!!!

So here's the link to the website (which is a lot funnier than me): http://www.awkwardfamilyphotos.com/ ;)
